Successfully organized the first Practical Training Course on "New Trends in Endoscopic Closed-Cure EMR/ESD Incisions".

Summary of the first practical training course

On April 4-5, 2025, the Vietnam Society of Interventional Gastrointestinal Endoscopy (VIGES), in collaboration with the Department of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy – University Medical Center of Ho Chi Minh City, successfully implemented the procedure Course 1 – Practical Training “New Trends in Endoscopic Closed-Section (EMR/ESD) Incision Repair”.

This first training course brought together 10 endoscopy specialists and 3 nurses. The curriculum included:

  • In-depth theory: Presented by leading experts in the field:
    • Professor Osamu Goto (Komagome Hospital for Oncology and Infectious Diseases, Tokyo, Japan).
    • Dr. Le Quang Nhan (Vice President of VIGES, Head of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy Department – ​​University Medical Center of Ho Chi Minh City).
  • In-depth practice: The doctors and nurses spent an entire morning and afternoon practicing the technique endoscopic closure of EMR/ESD incisions on the model. The emphasis is on the use of tools SutuArt, an advanced technology in this field.

The course introduced and provided students with the opportunity to practice advanced closed suturing techniques, especially with SutuArt toolsThe learning environment is professional and open, focusing on:

  • Opening up a modern approach in endoscopic treatment neoplastic lesions of the digestive tract.
  • Sharing experiences and techniques to effectively prevent the following complications EMR/ESD.
